The Corning Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars has opened the Corning Veterans Resource Center (VRC). This center is in the Miners Inn at 1301 Solano Street. The VRC provides comprehensive support, resources, and advocacy that addresses the physical, emotional, and financial needs of local veterans and their families. The center will work with local, state and national organizations and businesses to ensure that those few who sacrificed so much will have access to the resources they need to thrive within and strengthen our community. The Corning VRC will provide vital services to our veterans. These include peer connections, VA benefits information and support, local resources, and more. Visit corningvrc.org to learn more about what this center provides. Businesses and individuals interested in partnering with or contributing to the VRC should contact the center at corningvrc@gmail.com or call (530) 7653383. The VRC welcomes everyone in our community to “pop in” and learn more about the VRC and how they too can serve those who selflessly served us.
